Why QUM exists
QUM Consulting was founded on a conviction shaped by years of leading commercial organizations: strategies only create value when people can turn them into action.
Throughout her career, founder Carla Weaver worked across international markets, led cross-functional commercial teams, and navigated the realities of translating growth objectives into daily decisions. She saw how results depend not only on the quality of the plan, but on the capabilities of managers, the clarity of expectations, the strength of client relationships, and the discipline of execution.
She also saw the potential that emerges when professionals receive the right guidance, tools and opportunity to grow. That connection between organizational ambition and human capability became the foundation of QUM.
The name QUM reflects the idea of awakening: recognizing potential and activating it with intention. Today, QUM brings an operator's perspective to advisory and development engagements, working with organizations to strengthen commercial performance, develop effective leaders, and create lasting improvements in how teams work.

Meet the founder
Carla Weaver
Carla Weaver is the founder of QUM Consulting and a former senior commercial executive with more than a decade of experience in international business and trade. Her background includes regional commercial leadership across the Americas, leading multi-country teams and working at the intersection of sales strategy, execution, and people development.
Her approach combines strategic thinking with direct operational experience: building commercial discipline, supporting teams, coaching managers and turning business priorities into practical systems and behaviors. She also holds a degree in International Business, is a U.S. Licensed Customs Broker, and has completed executive education at the International Institute for Management Development, IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
At QUM, Carla applies this experience to advisory engagements, leadership development, and corporate programs designed for real-world application.
